Chairman & Senior Partner
DAVID BODDY
David was one of the first UK headmasters to take on the position after a career in entrepreneurship and business. For a decade he headed up St James Senior Boys’ School in London and was appointed Chair of the UK Society of Headteachers.
He is an Advisory Board member of the British International School of Ukraine.
He is also a regular speaker and presenter at education and business conferences.
In his first book, Mind Your Head – An Emotional Intelligence Guide for School Leaders, David described his decision to take on educational leadership as an act of “madness”; he had never trained as a teacher.
Lord Ralph Lucas, Editor of the Good Schools Guide, commented: “We thought the Governors must be mad to offer him the job. We were both wrong. He has not just rescued a school that had lost its way, but has made it an institution of stature, worth and individuality.”
After leaving the headship he joined ASIS, masterminding the development of the first British boarding school in India. He has undertaken other education projects in Korea, Germany, Italy and the Middle East.
ACADEMIC MENTOR & SCHOOL PLACEMENT EXPERT
David’s first love is the uplift of young people. He describes this as his “purpose”. Finding the right school and supporting students through the whole process is essential to the ASIS offering.
The ASIS team offers a personalised service, from initial enquiry to finding the right school and supporting the student during their entire journey.
